The Kiban, an agricultural affiliate of the NOROO Group, announced that it has set out to expand the market with export competitiveness through R&D investment in the vegetable seed business.

Through the development of new products of domestic varieties developed in Korea, the goal was to achieve the highest sales of exports by expanding and pioneering varieties suitable for overseas markets. The main business of the Noroo Group is the traditional chemical business centered on Noroo Paint and the seed specialized agricultural life business centered on The Kiban, a new agricultural business company.

The KIBAN carried out research to develop excellent seeds suitable for overseas markets through R&D development of excellent seeds suitable for each country's breed, directly verified by local production customers, communicated with overseas buyers, and nurtured the development of superior breed technology. In particular, vegetable seeds such as peppers, tomatoes, cabbages, and cucumbers have successfully entered overseas markets by developing varieties with high crop resistance in Asia and Africa.

In order to develop seeds suitable for texture and sugar content preferred by locals in Korea as well as overseas, the Anseong Research Center established strategies to develop seed varieties suitable for environmental factors such as Thailand and Laos, and carried out breeding research patiently. It was announced that it had achieved the 3 million dollar export tower in 2022 by showing results.

An official from The Kiban said, "We will strive to promote the excellence of domestic seeds to the world with a plan to challenge 5 million dollars in exports in 2023 based on excellent seed production."
